Her Story
About Chenauda
I've been working at Stellantis for 26 years as a UAW member, where my primary function is in procurement - I buy cardboard Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. For the past 10 years, I've also been active in the financial space, which really came about from my passion for helping people build their credit and teaching financial literacy. I work with people on their day-to-day financial matters, including credit repair and learning how to save. I help them find savings in practical areas like grocery shopping through couponing and looking for bargains. I do mentoring and work in the financial industry on the back end in my spare time, outside of my primary role at Stellantis. Throughout my 26 years with the United Auto Workers of America, I've served in various leadership capacities. My professional approach is grounded in discipline, strong leadership skills, and consistency - values that have guided me throughout my career.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
First, you've got to find your niche - something you're passionate about. If you're not passionate about something, you're not going to excel and do your best. If you figure out at an early age what interests you, what keeps your interest, and tunnel your vision into that, it helps you stay focused and helps you become better skilled than perhaps the next person. We tend to do better when we like something versus when we dislike something. You go to a job that you hate, you're not gonna be the person to excel very well in something that you don't like, because you're so focused on 'I don't like this, I hate this.' Whereas, if it's something of interest and you're passionate about, you're going to do your best. And remember, today's generation needs to stay hungry - don't rely on technology to do everything for you. Use your own God-given talent instead of letting ChatGPT or other technology do your thinking for you.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me professionally are discipline, heavy leadership skills, and consistency. These have been the foundation of everything I do. I also live by one of my favorite quotes from Martin Luther King: 'It's never too late to do the right thing' - that has always been in the forefront of my mind. In my personal life, family is incredibly important to me, and I believe in the principle that quitting is never an option, which my parents instilled in us at a younger age. I also value finding passion in what you do, because when you're passionate about something, you naturally excel and do your best.
