Erica Pueblos Anderson, MS, OTR/L is a licensed Occupational Therapist and full-time faculty member at CBD College in Los Angeles, California. With a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stanbridge University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from California State University, Long Beach, Erica has built a career dedicated to improving the quality of life and functional independence of her clients. She currently serves as an OTA Instructor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, where she mentors future therapists and designs evidence-based, hands-on learning experiences for students pursuing careers in occupational therapy.
Alongside her work in academia, Erica practices as an Occupational Therapist at Optimum Care Therapy, providing holistic, client-centered care in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. Her clinical expertise spans orthopedic and neurological conditions, and her approach emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and functional recovery. Her passion for holistic health and wellness has also inspired her to pursue specialized certifications, including Women’s Health, Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise, and Fall Prevention, reflecting her commitment to comprehensive, compassionate care across all life stages.
In 2025, Erica founded Marluna Maternal Wellness LLC, a maternal health coaching practice dedicated to supporting mothers through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond. Drawing from her professional experience and personal journey as a mother, she empowers women to restore balance, energy, and confidence through evidence-based, holistic wellness programs. Beyond her professional achievements, Erica remains an active community leader, volunteering for organizations such as Special Olympics Southern California, where she has served for over a decade as a coach and mentor, exemplifying her lifelong commitment to service, empowerment, and the well-being of others.

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to pursue a path that truly excites and inspires me something that makes me look forward to each new day with purpose and enthusiasm. It reminded me that fulfillment comes not just from success or recognition, but from genuinely enjoying the work I do and finding meaning in it.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to start by volunteering before fully diving in. Volunteering provides valuable hands-on experience, helps you build connections, and allows you to discover where your true interests and strengths lie. It’s an excellent way to learn, grow, and gain confidence while making a meaningful impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me, both in my work and personal life, are honesty and patience. I believe honesty builds trust and integrity in every relationship, while patience allows me to approach challenges with understanding and perseverance. Together, these values guide how I communicate, make decisions, and stay grounded in everything I do.
