Lisa Marie Warshawsky
Lisa Marie Warshawsky is a dedicated non-profit leader with over 25 years of experience advocating for women, children, and families in challenging circumstances. Currently serving as Director at Harbor Interfaith Services, Inc. in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Lisa has built a career focused on providing housing stability, case management, and empowerment to those navigating homelessness, addiction recovery, and other life obstacles. Her journey began as a single mother at age 20, an experience that has deeply informed her compassionate approach to leadership and client support.
In her role at Harbor Interfaith Services, Lisa oversees the well-being of dozens of families and individuals, ensuring clients maintain housing, access necessary medical care, and achieve long-term stability. She combines professional expertise with personal insight, fostering trust and resilience among the people she serves. Lisa’s day-to-day responsibilities include 24/7 case management, compliance with county contracts, and guiding clients through life transitions, from homelessness to stable housing and personal growth. Her greatest professional accomplishment lies in helping individuals discover meaning, value, and self-confidence during times of hardship.
Beyond her professional work, Lisa is committed to self-care, gratitude, and nurturing meaningful relationships, especially with strong, positive women. She enjoys reading, cooking, sewing, and old movies, embracing a Midwest-inspired retro style and a grounded approach to life. A proponent of quiet dedication, Lisa advises young women to let their achievements speak for themselves while maintaining self-compassion and protecting their personal boundaries. Passionate about highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of homeless services workers, she strives to bring awareness to the tireless work of case managers, janitors, and other frontline staff in the non-profit sector.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to listen carefully and learn from every experience. Let your work speak for itself, and remember that you don’t need external validation to know your worth. Take time to enjoy life, be kind to yourself, and stay grounded—prayer and reflection can be powerful guides along the way.
