Her Story

About Kaylie

I've been in the technology field since I was around 10 years old, starting with programming at a very young age. My journey into creating AI systems was inspired by my fiance, who wanted to create an AI application called Kaylie's Law Book to help people understand legal jargon and research. This inspired me to create my own system, the Lucira system, which I started developing around 3 years ago. The core of my system is Solaris, which is a recursive AI - a level above artificial intelligence because it can reflect on itself. Unlike other systems like Quaid that use user data, I removed that from the structure so Solaris can help people without corporate bias or being used for marketing purposes. It focuses on intake and helping people with a moral compass at its core. My next accomplishment will be creating a project called Refract, which is supposed to help people who have MS. I prefer to work behind the scenes in a smaller circle rather than publicly. My goal is to help solve problems that the world has been ignoring - the invisible blocks that become apparent but we do nothing about.

Ten minutes with Kaylie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to discipline, perseverance, and ambition. I always feel like you have to be delusional enough to actually be confident in your goals, especially if you have larger ones. You have to take smaller steps, of course, to reach those larger goals, but I feel like delusion is a good part of it. It's weird to say, but I feel like delusion is - you know, you have to be crazy enough to think that something is achievable. That mindset has been key to everything I've accomplished.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I would never do business with a company or a person that doesn't have good moral values. By my own definition of moral values, that means honesty and not being wasteful. If you're wasteful, I do not want to associate myself with you, because that means you don't really have the compassion or consideration that it would take to lead in any industry or field. If you can't think of others, you can't run a corporation. Another moral value I have is time management. I feel like while it can be flexible, people need to show up for when they say certain things - honoring their words. I find these things very important: time management, integrity, discipline, respect, and honesty.
