Her Story
About Kristine
My career has been defined by a willingness to try new things, embrace new challenges, and continuously learn along the way. Over the past 15 years, that mindset has led me through roles in nonprofit public health, human resources, organizational development, strategic planning, and communications, each building on the last and expanding my perspective on leadership and organizational success.
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping organizations connect people, culture, and strategy. My work has included leading employee engagement and culture initiatives, expanding employee resource groups, launching programs to create opportunities for women in operations, partnering with executive leadership on long-term strategy, and helping employees connect their work to organizational vision and goals. Most recently, I began serving as Senior Manager of Brand and Strategic Communications, where I lead efforts to strengthen both internal and external communications.
Outside of my corporate career, I am a certified health coach and facilitator of women's coaching programs. Whether through leadership, communication, or coaching, I am passionate about helping people grow, thrive, and create meaningful change through small, intentional actions.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My career has been defined by a willingness to try new things, embrace new challenges, and continuously learn along the way. I've always wanted to get to the end of my life and be able to look back and say, "Look at all the interesting things I got to do." That mindset has led me through roles in nonprofit public health, human resources, organizational development, strategic planning, and communications. While the path hasn't always been linear, each opportunity has expanded my perspective, challenged me to grow, and helped me discover what I enjoy most.
I believe some of the best opportunities come from being willing to raise your hand, step outside your comfort zone, and learn as you go. That approach has opened doors I never would have anticipated and has shaped both my career and my leadership style.
Outside of work, I'm a working mom and wife and we’re a military family. Those roles have reinforced my belief that taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's essential.
I'm passionate about helping people build the habits, routines, and systems that allow them to show up at their best for their families, careers, and communities.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I've received is to always be ready for what's next. You don't get to choose when opportunities come your way, but you do get to choose whether you're investing in yourself and preparing for them.
For me, that means staying curious, continuing to learn, and making growth part of my everyday life—not just something that happens during the workday. The more you invest in yourself, the more prepared you'll be when the next opportunity arrives.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
First, learn as much as you can and get in as many rooms as you can. If you’re in a room surrounded by smart people and you don’t understand everything being discussed, that’s often a sign you’re in the right room. Growth happens when we’re challenged. Don’t just learn your craft—learn the business, the industry, and how everything connects. That broader perspective is what helps you become a strategic leader rather than simply an expert in one area.
Second, trust yourself and be yourself. As a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry, I’ve learned the importance of investing in yourself, building confidence in your abilities, and staying true to who you are. Don’t dim your light or try to be someone else to fit in. The most meaningful success comes from leaning into your strengths, continuing to learn, and trusting yourself to take the next step
