About Lena
My career has been linked to AI and data science from the very beginning. In 2003, I invented several algorithms for data mining and wrote software around that, selling it as shareware before the SaaS era. At the same time, I worked in Ukrainian space research institutes where we did image recognition for images made from space. I worked on my data mining company for 12 years. A couple years later, my husband and I moved to the United States, and here I launched several companies. My previous company is called the Good Faith Projects, where we do AI for chemistry. At this point, over 30% of manufacturers in the United States are using our software to make personal care products - shampoos, color cosmetics, anything that goes on your body. We did an analysis of over 140 million molecules and were able to predict their toxicity, carcinogenicity, and other properties, then used that to create software for the personal care industry. Currently, I'm CEO of Perseverance Accelerator, which we started in October 2025. We created an anti-accelerator model where we accept companies on pretty much any stage, even very early when they might not have a product yet, but they still need mentors and guidance. Our main requirement is that somebody is actively building and the founder needs to be coachable and able to learn. We now have over 40 companies that we're helping with mentorship, figuring out their bottlenecks, and when they're ready, connections to investors. Throughout my career, my professional achievement has been figuring out how to apply AI to make workflows better across different business applications.
