What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to perseverance, faith, and a deep commitment to storytelling. Wearing multiple hats as a photographer, actress, and producer has taught me to stay adaptable, resourceful, and hands-on, especially in independent film and creative work. I’ve learned to keep showing up, even when the path isn’t clear, and to trust that consistency, collaboration, and integrity matter more than quick wins. Most importantly, I credit my success to listening—to people, to stories, and to the moments that deserve to be captured and shared with honesty and heart.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
To stay true to your voice and don’t wait for permission to create. Opportunities don’t always arrive fully formed—you build them by showing up, doing the work, and trusting your instincts. Consistency, humility, and relationships matter just as much as talent, and when you lead with purpose rather than comparison, the right doors open at the right time.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Believe in your voice and don’t underestimate the power of starting where you are. Learn every part of the craft, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to take up space—especially in rooms where women are underrepresented. Protect your integrity, your time, and your creative vision, and surround yourself with people who respect both your talent and your values. Most importantly, be patient with yourself; success is built through consistency, resilience, and the courage to keep creating even when the path feels uncertain.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In creative fields like photography, acting, and independent production, one of the biggest challenges right now is standing out in a crowded digital landscape—where attention is fractured and trends change quickly. It can be difficult to balance artistic integrity with market demands, secure funding for passion projects, and navigate the business side of creative work without losing your voice. At the same time, there are tremendous opportunities: today’s platforms make it easier than ever to share work directly with audiences, connect with collaborators worldwide, and build niche communities that value authenticity over mass appeal. There’s also growing interest in diverse voices, genre-bending storytelling (like blending romance with paranormal elements), and emotionally grounded narratives. For women entering the field, there’s more space than ever to lead, create, and shape the future of visual storytelling on your own terms.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, faith, authenticity, and compassion. I believe in creating with purpose, honoring my commitments, and treating people with respect in every collaboration. Storytelling, for me, is about truth and connection—being honest in expression while remaining grounded in my values. I also value perseverance and community, knowing that meaningful work is built through trust, resilience, and supporting one another both creatively and personally.
