Her Story
About Malina
I grew up in Berlin, Germany, where I attended a Waldorf School that taught everything about naturopathy and holistic living. My parents raised me with a very holistic lifestyle from birth - I grew up taking chamomile baths and started doing kids' yoga at a young age. This foundation has shaped my entire approach to wellness. I studied business administration and office management in Germany through a three-year apprenticeship program, and I worked as the office manager for McDonald's headquarters in Berlin from 2017 until 2020, when I graduated from business school. Five years ago, I moved to Florida, and in 2023 I founded Zentual LLC, my wellness business that initially focused on aromatherapy and bodywork including herbalism. I attended Hollywood Institute massage school and connected with many practitioners in the holistic field, from Reiki masters to herbalists and independent massage therapists. I recently became certified in naturopathy through Scholistico, an online school, and I'm continuing my education as a holistic health practitioner. Currently, I work as the Office and Operations Manager for Freda Kanjali Wealth Management in Fort Lauderdale, a holistic financial advisory firm where I've been full-time for a year. My main area of expertise is consultation and lifestyle management with a holistic background, educating people about nutrition and alternative ways for healing. I believe the body can heal itself once you know which tools you have available, from herbalism to yoga to water therapy. When clients come to me with certain issues, I don't offer temporary fixes but rather suggest permanent lifestyle adjustments. I'm currently rebuilding my website to reflect my expanded expertise and connections with nutritionists and other wellness professionals. My dream is to eventually open my own spa here in Florida, bringing the wellness traditions I experienced in Germany to this community, but I want to gain more experience first to build something very solid.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would definitely give the advice that we have to ensure we are taking care not only of our bodies physically, because that seems to be a big trend that young women are so focused on hitting the gym and working up their glutes, which is impressive, but most importantly is the mental health. If you're not mentally stable and you are not convinced that you love your body as how it comes, then your physical health won't last. It's all stored in our genetics, our muscles, and our bloodstream. It's okay to be not okay. It's okay if the body changes physically, it's okay if you're having mentally some sort of down times. We should learn to not be so hard on ourselves because we have enough pressure going on in general, but if we learn to accept ourselves for who we are, physically and mentally, then I think we will come out stronger individuals and we can encourage the next generation. My biggest goal is that my daughter understands it is okay that mommy at some point has gray hairs - that's part of life. My biggest advice is really for everybody to not be so hard on ourselves and to not let other people's perceptions and opinions affect us that much, because everybody is basically living their own truth. I was never walking in your pairs of shoes, I cannot judge you because I have not experienced what you went through.
