Her Story
About Marcela
I founded Ambition Unleashed, a podcast where we discuss inspirational stories and entrepreneurial journeys. We host transformational events bringing our speakers together with people who want to learn from them. These aren't just events where people feel inspired and motivated - we create a space where attendees can receive real transformation. I also serve as a personal results specialist for Tony Robbins, where I place students into his online and in-person events. Tony found me on LinkedIn because of my sales background. I've been in events, sales, and fundraising for many, many years. I used to be a realtor for many years as well. My work incorporates Tony's teachings into everything I do, and it's my job to make sure students come to events like UPW. I have the privilege of working from home, which allows me to start my day with gratitude and priming. I spend my days reaching out to Tony's students, supporting them and guiding them in their journey. The hours are long, but the work is meaningful because I get to help people transform their lives.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to having Tony Robbins as a mentor. More than just working with him, which is incredible, having the opportunity to have a mentor like him and to be guided by his teachings has been transformative. I care more about my family than my career, and for me, the most important thing is being the best mom and role model I can possibly be. I'm grateful for a mentorship like his that allows me to support his students when they call, guide them, and help them in their journey. But I also get to take those teachings and apply them into my own life, and teach my family and my daughter those teachings. That ability to learn while I teach, to embrace these principles while living them - that's what has made the biggest difference in my success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received came from Tony, and it's about understanding patterns. If you can understand patterns in any industry better than anyone else, you succeed more than anyone else in that particular industry. It doesn't matter if it's in sales, finances, anything - everything is cyclical, everything has patterns. Any industry you're in, even if you think there's not a pattern, there is a pattern. That's one thing I've learned, and it's one thing I want my daughter to understand. We even discuss patterns together. We discussed it at Business Mastery, and I learned about the importance of pattern recognition. You don't think it's important, but it's vital to success in a career or even in personal life. I look at patterns in competitors or people that I admire that I want to be more like. When I've interviewed people, I want to know their patterns. If I start studying patterns of people I admire, then I can be more like them. Everyone has patterns that they follow. That's actually why I originally started my podcast - I was very sick and could barely function, so I decided to start reaching out to people to ask them about their day, how they work, how they make money. They would share these patterns without realizing I was asking them to share these patterns with me. I thought if I can benefit from this, then other people can benefit from this. I later realized all I was looking for was patterns.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do not give up. Keep going. It's very difficult, especially if the goal is to immediately make money - that's not gonna happen. You're pursuing the wrong industry if that's your focus. Have a very clear goal of what your future looks like. Know who you hope to help, and have a very clear idea of what the person looks like that you're helping - their age range, whether they're men or women or both. Know exactly what their interests are. I think that's something that's helped me quite a bit - being able to know exactly what stage of life the audience I'm trying to attract is in. As you really harness that information and hone in on that, then I think your business will grow and it will thrive. Never lose sight of that. Stop trying to please everyone. Pick a demographic that can benefit from your support and put all your effort into that demographic.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is everything to me - it's the most important value in my life. I care more about my family than my career. For me, the most important thing is being the best mom and role model I can possibly be. When I got very sick and began to die, I realized what's really important in life, and it's never what you think it is. It's never the material stuff, it's never the accolades or certificates. That experience gave me a view of life that I don't think most people are privileged to have unless they've experienced something like this, because you understand what's really important in life. I focus on spending quality time with my family - that's my hobby. Whether it's doing ballet with my daughter, sewing her fashion designs in the evenings, or traveling together, anything that involves spending quality time with my family is what matters most to me. I'm a wife, and I love spending time with my husband. Our days are filled with our daughter, but that's part of the journey.
