Her Story
About Meredith
I've never been interested in fitting neatly into predefined boxes. My work and my leadership has always lived at the intersection of structure and intuition, discipline and artistry.
My educational background in fine and studio arts, paired with professional ballroom dance training, shaped how I see the world long before I founded my companies. Dance taught me that timing matters as much as talent, that presence communicates before words, and that how you carry yourself often determines how your message is received. Those lessons continue to inform how I think about leadership, influence, and storytelling today.
I believe influence is built from the inside out. Before a brand, organization, or leader can shift external perception, there must be clarity in how they see themselves. Language matters. Energy matters. Intention matters. Authenticity, to me, isn't about being unfiltered. It's about being deliberate, aligned, and honest in how you show up.
I'm currently building Year of the Storyteller, an initiative launching in Summer 2026 that reflects my belief that beautiful things create connection, and that the most effective storytelling doesn't shout...it resonates. The work I'm drawn to creates movement rather than moments, shaping environments and narratives people naturally want to engage with. That means saying no to opportunities that look good on paper but drain your energy, and yes to work that genuinely elevates your capabilities and opens new possibilities.
I'm intentional about where I invest my time and attention. I believe protecting your peace is a leadership skill. Growth should feel expansive, not performative, and success is most sustainable when it aligns with your values rather than chasing external validation. Instead of chasing one-off viral wins, I focus on building sustained momentum—ongoing editorial relationships, strategic positioning that shifts perception over time, and integrated approaches that create ripple effects beyond any single campaign.
I don't help people fit into existing frameworks. I help them recognize where they're meant to redefine them.

Ten minutes with Meredith
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to three core principles: refusing to fit into prescribed boxes, protecting my energy with intention, and understanding that transformation begins internally before it manifests externally. I've built my businesses on the belief that authentic influence comes from being deliberate about where you invest your attention, selective about who you work with, and committed to creating movement rather than just moments. Perhaps most importantly, I've learned that the words we speak and the energy we put into the world shape everything that comes back to us.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You can't make everyone happy, and trying to will dilute your impact and drain your energy. Early in my career, I struggled with wanting to please everyone, saying yes to every opportunity, accommodating every request, trying to be all things to all people. Not every client is the right fit. Not every opportunity aligns with your values. Not every criticism deserves your attention.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Give yourself grace and time to build. Nothing worth having happens quickly, and the pressure to achieve overnight success will only lead to burnout and compromise. Be steadfast, consistent, and keep showing up even when the results aren't immediate. There were years when I was planting seeds that wouldn't bloom for a long time, building relationships that wouldn't pay off until much later, and developing skills that seemed irrelevant in the moment but became essential down the road. The work you're doing today is creating the foundation for opportunities you can't even see yet.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Earned media is getting harder to secure, and any agency still operating under the assumption that traditional PR services alone will sustain their business is facing an outdated model. Editorial staffs have shrunk dramatically, publications are consolidating, and the volume of pitches flooding journalists' inboxes has never been higher. The days when a PR firm could simply promise media placements and deliver consistent results through pitching alone are over.
The biggest opportunity—and challenge—is recognizing that modern PR requires an integrated approach where marketing, content creation, and sometimes even sales overlap. Clients need agencies that can create the content-rich opportunities that naturally attract media attention, not just pitch existing stories. That's why I've built my business around the integration of strategic communications with experiential design through my sister company, Meredith Events.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, integrity, and loyalty form the foundation of how I operate in both business and life. I believe in leading with truth and actual facts and transparent communication. When I work with clients, I tell them what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. That honesty builds trust, and trust is the only real currency in relationships that matter.
Integrity means showing up consistently aligned with my values, even when it's inconvenient or costs me opportunities. I've walked away from clients and projects that didn't feel right, turned down work that would compromise my standards, and maintained boundaries that protect both my peace and my reputation. Your integrity is tested most when no one is watching and when saying yes would be easier than saying no.
Loyalty runs deep for me, but it's intentional. I'm fiercely loyal to the people who show up authentically, who operate with the same values, and who are committed to moving forward rather than dwelling in negativity. My circle is small by design because I'd rather have a few genuine relationships built on mutual respect than a network of surface-level connections. The people I invest in know I'm in their corner, and I expect the same in return.
