Her Story

About My

I began my career in Vietnam after earning a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, stepping into the world of logistics with curiosity and ambition. At the time, English was not part of my daily life. I had learned it academically, but I rarely had the chance to use it in real conversations. Still, I knew early on that if I wanted to grow beyond borders, language and adaptability would matter just as much as technical knowledge. That belief quietly shaped every decision I made next.

Driven by a desire to challenge myself, I made the leap into a new country, a new language, and eventually, a completely new industry. I worked relentlessly to improve my English, learning not just how to speak, but how to think, explain, negotiate, and lead in a second language. As I transitioned from logistics into technology, I embraced the discomfort of being a beginner again, investing countless hours into learning systems, data, Agile frameworks, and product thinking. Over time, persistence turned into confidence, and curiosity turned into capability.

Today, I work as a Senior Business Systems Analyst and Digital Product Owner, building data- and AI-enabled products that help people make better decisions. Looking back, my journey has never been about a single role or title, it has been about growth, resilience, and the courage to reinvent myself. Each transition strengthened my belief that with discipline, determination, growth mindset and can do attitude, it is possible to build a meaningful career even when starting far outside your comfort zone.

Ten minutes with My

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of discipline, resilience, and a willingness to start from zero. Moving across countries, industries, and even languages taught me early on that progress doesn’t come from comfort, it comes from consistent effort and learning through uncertainty. I learned to break big challenges into small, manageable steps and show up every day, even when confidence came later than commitment.

Equally important, I’ve always been intentional about ownership and growth. I seek to deeply understand the “why” behind problems, ask thoughtful questions, and build trust with the people I work with. I invest continuously in improving my skills, especially communication and systems thinking, because I believe success is not a single moment, but the result of sustained curiosity, humility, and perseverance.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Doing what I love and loving what I do allows me to work with purpose, not obligation, and keep my passion burning

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Nothing is impossible if you truly want it. Don’t wait until you feel “ready”, be fearless, take the leap, and trust that clarity will come through action. Growth rarely happens in big, dramatic moments; it’s built through small, consistent steps taken with intention.

Enjoy the journey, not just the outcome. Reflect often on what genuinely fulfills you, and let that guide your choices. If you stay curious, courageous, and committed to your own values, you will eventually get where you’re meant to be, one step at a time.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Respect the difference, integrity, true value (meaning), consistent growth, and intention
