Priscilla Harper
Priscilla Harper is a fine art photographer, designer, and child welfare advocate whose work seamlessly bridges art, nature, and social purpose. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she traveled across the Atlantic to study textile design at the Scottish College of Textiles in Galashiels, Scotland—an experience that deeply influenced her visual language and explains why plaid appears in nearly every design collection. Drawing on her fine art background, Priscilla creates nature and landscape imagery shaped by light, rich texture, and original composition, a natural segue into the bold repatterning that defines her design work. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., and published in esteemed outlets including Nature’s Best Photography Magazine and Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Magazine.
Guided by the belief that “the question is not what you look at but what you see,” Priscilla is a committed advocate of experimentation and evolution. Her practice has expanded beyond fine art photography to include product animation and custom interior arts, while maintaining a deep connection to the natural world. Through lectures on inspired design at garden clubs throughout Northern Illinois, she encourages others to engage more thoughtfully with nature. In every Priscilla Harper design, the natural and the vibrant intersect, transforming even the smallest elements of plant life into something unexpected and compelling.
Alongside her creative career, Priscilla has remained deeply committed to protecting and uplifting children. While at the Art Institute of Chicago, she used photography to bring visibility to displaced and neglected children, a cause that continues to guide her work today. She envisions merging her passion for design with her dedication to child welfare by launching an employment-driven program to tutor displaced minors in graphic design. Through this initiative, Priscilla aims to nurture both creative skill and opportunity, ensuring that art becomes a pathway to stability, empowerment, and hope.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are a deep appreciation for life, staying connected to nature through hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking, and approaching everything I do with passion, balance, and respect for the world around me.
