Her Interview

Ten minutes with Stacey

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the values instilled in me by my family. My mother taught me the importance of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, while my grandmother's entrepreneurial spirit inspired me to be independent, resourceful, and willing to embrace new opportunities. Together, they shaped not only my work ethic but also my belief in building genuine relationships, serving others with integrity, and approaching every challenge with optimism and resilience. Those lessons have guided me throughout my career and continue to influence the way I work with customers, colleagues, and my community.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to be authentic and trust my own strengths. Early in my career, I realized that trying to be someone else or following someone else's style wasn't the path to success. Instead, I've found that honesty, transparency, and genuinely caring about the people I serve create stronger relationships and better outcomes. Whether I'm working with customers, colleagues, students, or readers, I've learned that our greatest strength isn't trying to fit someone else's definition of success—it's bringing our own experiences, values, and perspective to every opportunity.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be yourself and have confidence in your unique strengths. You don't need to change who you are or try to fit someone else's definition of success. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—they're often our greatest teachers and an essential part of personal and professional growth. Be willing to learn, ask questions, and give yourself grace along the way. Every experience, whether successful or challenging, helps shape the professional you're becoming. Stay curious, keep growing, and let your authenticity be one of your greatest strengths.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in my field is the continued advancement of AI and intelligent technologies. AI has tremendous potential to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, and provide faster access to information. At the same time, I believe one of the greatest opportunities for organizations is recognizing that technology works best when it's complemented by meaningful human relationships. Customers still want someone who listens, understands their goals, and provides guidance when it matters most. While AI can enhance the customer experience, trust, empathy, and ongoing relationships remain the driving forces behind long-term customer success. The organizations that successfully combine innovative technology with genuine human connection will be the ones that stand out in the years ahead. Throughout my own career, I've learned that adaptability is one of the most valuable professional strengths. Organizations increasingly value people who can learn quickly, embrace change, and build trust regardless of the technology or industry they serve

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide both my work and personal life are authenticity, integrity, trust, and service. I believe the strongest relationships are built through honesty, respect, and genuine care for others. Whether I'm working with customers, teaching a student, collaborating with colleagues, or spending time with family, I strive to help people feel heard, supported, and confident. I believe success is measured not only by what we accomplish, but by the positive impact we have on the lives of others.
