Her Story
About Suma
I’m a girl from India who began with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering, fueled by big dreams and a deep curiosity for how technology can create real-world impact. I built my early foundation through internships and Capgemini, then pursued a Master’s in Management Information Systems. Through internships and project work, I sharpened my strengths in requirements analysis and cross-functional delivery. Today, at Stellite Works, I work as a Senior Business Analyst and growing Product Owner, supporting healthcare and retail clients while expanding from delivery ownership into shaping product priorities and direction.
Personally, I’m determined yet grounded, the kind of woman who can stay calm under pressure and still keep life light. I’m a coffee person, a dog-and-cat enthusiast, and a doodler who finds clarity in little sketches and big ideas. I love books because they slow the world down and remind me that growth is both quiet and powerful. For a long time, I carried a dream of having my own voice, not just in meetings, but in the world, and that dream has naturally evolved into speaking for women who are still learning to claim theirs.
I believe women’s voices belong in every room where decisions are made, not as an exception, but as a necessity. When women are supported to lead, learn, and be heard, it creates a ripple effect that strengthens families, workplaces, and communities in lasting ways.

Ten minutes with Suma
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a blend of resilience, disciplined consistency, and a genuine willingness to learn. I’ve learned to stay calm in uncertain moments, ask the right questions, and continue to show up with clarity and integrity, even when the path is unfamiliar.
I also credit the people who believed in me along the way, as well as my own decision to use every opportunity as a stepping stone. Most importantly, I’ve stayed committed to growth, embracing change, leaning into new skills like AI, and using my voice with purpose rather than waiting for the “perfect” time.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is simple: Never Quit. Not when you feel behind, not when you hear “no,” and not when the learning curve feels steep. Stay in the game, keep improving, and keep showing up with consistency, because persistence has a way of turning uncertainty into capability and effort into results.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I’d tell young women entering this industry to lead with honesty and respect, and to learn how to read the room. This applies as much in personal life as it does professionally, because integrity and emotional intelligence shape how people experience you, trust you, and choose to work with you.
At the same time, always have your own voice. Speak up with clarity, ask questions without shrinking yourself, and share your perspective even when you are still learning. Skills can be built, but confidence is built by practicing visibility, one conversation at a time.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge, and also the biggest opportunity, in my field right now is navigating stakeholders with different perspectives and priorities while still moving the work forward with clarity. Everyone comes to the table with their own context, expectations, and emotions, and many decisions are shaped as much by people's dynamics as they are by data. That’s why I always emphasize read the room, because understanding what is being said, what is not being said, and what truly matters to each stakeholder is often the difference between alignment and friction. At the same time, wearing multiple hats as a Senior Business Analyst and Product Owner means I have to stay on top of execution, priorities, and delivery tasks without losing sight of the bigger picture, which requires strong communication, structured thinking, and steady follow-through.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me, in both my work and personal life, are honesty and respect, and they are truly non-negotiables. I also value people and interactions, because strong outcomes are rarely created alone. I believe in showing up with a sense of togetherness, truly hearing each other, and creating space where everyone feels seen and understood. When people feel respected and listened to, trust grows naturally, collaboration becomes easier, and even difficult conversations can lead to meaningful progress.
Alongside that, I believe in keeping a sense of fun and a few simple must-haves, because joy and lightness are not distractions; they are what keep you grounded, human, and consistent through the hard days.
