Her Story

About Thresette

My expertise is in building high-performing leaders. We provide services including keynotes, leader assessments, training, facilitation, coaching, and consulting. We do that for different types of initiatives like learning series, leadership meetings, retreats, strategic planning, and other performance initiatives that help get companies to higher performance. We help them innovate and be creative around creating cultures and opportunities for this to happen.

My tagline is building high-performing leaders because I know that the company and the leader misses something when those two don't align.

My story includes a period of time where I almost lost my physical voice, and that led me to wanting to make sure that I use it in a way that truly helps people be their highest performing self. I'm featured in a book with a chapter that highlights my story, and I integrate that story into different speaking engagements to help leaders find their voice - whether that means writing, speaking,. And even if they don't have a physical voice, how they can still find theirs. It's all about being your highest performing self and creating a culture that allows you tan opportunity to do it.

I recently participated in the NASDAQ Entrepreneurial Center's Milestone Circles Program, and because of my achievement, I was featured on the Jumbotron in New York in December of 2025.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Thresette

01What do you attribute your success to?

My faith, the right mindset, and other people whose shoulders I have stood on, who have blessed me with opportunities and with their time. Also the work ethic that my mother and father and others around me instilled in me.

And of course, as a single mother, I grew up quite a bit - it was my son and I for a long time. I have my husband and two other kids now, but for a long time it was just us, and that shaped my outlook and kept me focused. So I would say focus has been a big part of it, along with perseverance and grit.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

To be laser-focused. So you can be fully present in what you're doing, and do it well.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Discover who you are as early as possible in your life. We too often identify ourselves with what we do, and don't spend enough time trying to know who we are, because jobs, people and other things can all possibly be gone. And if/when that happens, do you know who are you still? When you know 'who', and not just 'what you are', you're not susceptible to a job or other people defining you.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Developing leaders to have the right mindset about the challenges they're facing., and be the best version of themselves as a leader through all of it. With the right mindset, a challenge becomes an opportunity.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith, purpose, legacy, inclusion, and grit. These are the values that guide both my work and personal life.
