Her Story

About Tiffany

I started my career as a physical therapist with my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and I did that for 15 years. I really loved being a clinician, but after 15 years, I decided I was ready for a very significant change. I made a huge pivot in my late 30s and took a job in corporate sales, where I worked for a Fortune 50 company and managed a territory of $25 million in revenue. I did that for three and a half years and grew the territory. Then I decided I wanted to get back to healthcare to really get back to helping patients' lives improve, so I chose a career that blended both of my previous careers as a physical therapist and as a senior account executive in corporate sales. Now, as a Territory Account Manager for Tactile Medical, I manage a team of two and work with a medical device company that services patients with chronic lymphedema. The device that we sell helps manage their symptoms and really gives them their quality of life back. It's very rewarding work, and impacting people's lives is really the most rewarding part of everything that I've done.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tiffany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think hard work and desire to do good are what have driven my success. But beyond that, it's about stepping out when it feels uncertain. You have to be able to still step out and put yourself out there, even though you don't know necessarily what the outcome will be, but you just have to get past that fear aspect. That willingness to take risks and make big changes, like I did in my mid-30s, has been crucial to where I am today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Follow your own path. Do what is right for you, don't follow everyone else. If it means a huge change in your mid-30s, do it. I lived it. That advice has been fundamental to my journey, giving me the courage to make a significant career pivot when it felt right for me, even though it wasn't the typical path.
