Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success is grounded in faith, family, and generational purpose.
I attribute my journey first to God, whose guidance has anchored my resilience and shaped my leadership. I was raised by visionary, hard-working parents who ensured I had access, exposure, and opportunity. My mother was a senior executive in Corporate America during a time when women, particularly women of color, rarely held such roles. My father was a master tradesman and entrepreneur who instilled discipline, ownership, and ambition. Watching them lead through excellence and integrity shaped my work ethic and worldview.
Through private education and early international travel, my perspective and possibilities expanded. Today, I carry those same values into motherhood, intentionally creating opportunities for my daughter to dream boldly and lead with purpose.
We live by the principle, “To whom much is given, much is required,” which fuels how I lead, mentor, and serve. My success is rooted in faith, sacrifice, and a deep responsibility to uplift others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Lead with excellence, integrity, and purpose, and always create access for others as you rise.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Human Resources is an honorable and essential profession. As People Strategists, we engage with every level of an organization, shaping culture, developing leaders, and driving business performance. Our work directly impacts the bottom line and advances the mission by attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent across the full employee lifecycle.
My advice is to treat HR as a strategic discipline, not an administrative function. Master the business. Build financial and operational fluency. Cultivate executive presence. Lead with courage, clarity, and compassion. Advocate for people while driving performance.
The work we do matters. HR is not a support function. It is not a nice-to-have. It is a must-have and a strategic engine for organizational success.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges and opportunities in Human Resources today is serving as the strategic advisor on how organizations leverage AI as a tool and accelerator, not a replacement for humanity. The responsibility of HR leadership is to ensure technology enhances decision-making, productivity, and innovation while preserving culture, trust, and human connection.
Equally critical is serving as a trusted partner to CEOs and Boards, guiding organizations to scale thoughtfully, build resilience, and maintain agility in the face of uncertainty. This includes designing organizations with the flexibility to pivot, strengthening governance and leadership readiness, and ensuring leaders are equipped to guide their teams through rapid change, milestones, and disruption.
Finally, developing the next generation of leaders is both an urgent priority and a powerful opportunity. Preparing emerging leaders with the skills, emotional intelligence, and strategic mindset required to lead through complexity will define organizational success for years to come.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My life is anchored in faith, family, purpose, and service. My identity has long been shaped by being a devoted mother, a loving daughter, and a leader who strives for excellence with integrity.
Equally important to me is being a trusted advisor, mentor, and resource to others. I believe success carries responsibility, and I am deeply committed to creating access, offering guidance, and helping individuals and organizations navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.
At every stage of my journey, I aim to lead with authenticity, compassion, and intention, ensuring that the impact I make professionally is matched by the legacy I build personally. At my core, I use my platform to uplift, empower, and serve.
