01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, perseverance, continuous learning, and an unwavering belief in my ability to grow beyond my circumstances. Moving to a new country required me to rebuild my career from the ground up and adapt to an entirely new professional environment. There were moments of self-doubt and challenges that tested my confidence, but I remained committed to learning, growing, and focusing on my long-term goals.
Like many professionals, I have experienced imposter syndrome at different points throughout my career. Over time, I learned that self-doubt can be one of the biggest obstacles to growth if you allow it to take hold. Instead of questioning whether I belonged, I focused on building my knowledge, developing my skills, and letting my work speak for itself. That mindset helped me recognize that I had earned my seat at the table.
I have learned that growth often happens outside of your comfort zone, and that success comes from consistently showing up, putting in the work, and believing in yourself even when the path forward is uncertain. That mindset has been the driving force behind every milestone in my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was: “Your current circumstances do not define your future.” As someone who rebuilt her career in a new country, that lesson stayed with me. Success is not determined by where you start, but by your willingness to learn, adapt, persevere, and keep moving forward despite obstacles.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to believe in yourself, even when others doubt you. Don’t let outside opinions, stereotypes, or self-doubt define what you are capable of achieving. Confidence is not about having all the answers; it’s about trusting yourself to learn, adapt, and grow.
One principle that has guided me throughout my career is that knowledge is power. Never stop learning, asking questions, and investing in yourself. The more knowledge you gain, the more confident, capable, and empowered you become to create opportunities for yourself and navigate challenges with confidence.
Be curious, work hard, ask questions, and never be afraid to take on new challenges. Some of the greatest opportunities come from stepping outside your comfort zone. Most importantly, don’t let imposter syndrome hold you back. You earned your seat at the table, and your voice, perspective, and contributions matter.
Success is rarely a straight path, but with determination, resilience, and a willingness to keep learning, there is no limit to what you can accomplish.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The most exciting opportunity in my field is the ability to transform how organizations manage risk through technology, data, and innovation. At the same time, the challenge is ensuring that growth and innovation remain grounded in strong governance, ethical decision making, and customer trust. The leaders who will make the greatest impact are those who can successfully bridge innovation and accountability while empowering others to embrace change.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are integrity, resilience, accountability, and continuous growth. I believe that trust is earned through honesty and consistency, and that how you achieve success is just as important as the success itself. Resilience has been a defining value throughout my life, particularly as I rebuilt my career in a new country and embraced opportunities outside my comfort zone. I also value accountability, taking ownership of both successes and setbacks, and continuous learning, because growth happens when we remain open to new challenges, perspectives, and experiences. These values guide my decisions, shape my leadership style, and influence how I show up for my family, colleagues, and community every day.
