Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of dedication, strong work ethic, and a commitment to building trust with every client I work with. I approach each day with focus and professionalism, ensuring that inquiries and requests are handled promptly and that every interaction reflects reliability and care. I strive to understand my clients’ needs deeply and provide solutions that exceed expectations, which has allowed me to cultivate lasting relationships and a reputation for dependability. My willingness to learn quickly, adapt to new challenges, and maintain consistency in delivering results has been central to my professional growth and achievements.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to not be afraid to do something uncomfortable. Stepping outside of my comfort zone has consistently led to growth, new opportunities, and valuable experiences that I wouldn’t have gained otherwise. Embracing challenges, taking calculated risks, and tackling tasks that feel intimidating has helped me build confidence, expand my skill set, and advance in my career more quickly than if I had stayed in familiar territory.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say probably never be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and try something new. I think there's a lot of things, especially in business, like there's the social norms, and a lot of people don't want to step out of those social norms and do something that might be a little uncomfortable. But I think that, especially starting out, that's just one of the things that I can't advocate for enough. Do the thing that's a little uncomfortable, do the thing that not everyone's doing, because that's, at the end of the day, what's going to set you apart. They're going to remember you for doing just that, doing what no one else is doing.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think for me, being in New Mexico, part of it is just the challenge that I see so many people, especially in my age group, are just so ready to leave. So many of my friends have asked me, like, well, why are you staying? Like, what's in New Mexico? So I think, for me, it's the battle of, you know, the grass isn't always greener, and everyone wants to leave. But I truly believe in my state, and I think it's never gonna get better if everyone leaves, especially all of our young people. That's been something challenging, especially in the industry. I don't see a lot of young faces, but that's also, to me, an opportunity. I'm a big advocate for New Mexico. I'm a big advocate in the potential that I truly believe it has, and I kind of use that as an opportunity to leverage the fact that, you know, it's not gonna get better if everyone leaves. Also, the people I work with are the people building New Mexico. I'm getting to see the businesses coming in, I'm getting to see these projects working from the ground up. And that's just something that I don't take for granted a single day. I'm really grateful for that opportunity, because I really do believe in New Mexico, and I believe in the potential that I know it's going to fulfill one of these days.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I would say just being ethical is something that is extremely valuable to me, especially in the business world. I think working for Engineered Floors is something that I'm very proud of, and I'm extremely honored to work for a company that I can stand behind and that I believe in so much. For me, there's a lot of things, especially when you're talking about your products, you don't want to tell people something that's not true. You don't want to give someone false hope or make a promise that you know you're not going to fulfill. So that's something that, for me, business ethics is just a big thing that I've always believed in, and especially now having the position I do, it's just something so important to me, is being ethical and always being able to back what I'm saying, to never lose someone's trust.
