Ten minutes with Emily
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success first and foremost to God. My faith grounds me, reminds me where my worth actually comes from, and keeps my priorities in check when the world tells me to hustle harder or chase validation. Knowing that my identity isn’t tied to my output has given me the freedom to create boldly, take risks, and trust the process, even when things feel uncertain.
Family has also played a huge role. I come from a support system that values hard work, integrity, and showing up for people. That foundation taught me how to build relationships, stay consistent, and lead with love—skills that translate directly into how I run my business and serve clients.
Ultimately, my success is rooted in values over results. When your work is aligned with your faith and the people who matter most to you, success becomes sustainable instead of exhausting.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve ever received is that your job will never fill you the way Jesus can. That truth has saved me from chasing fulfillment in accomplishments, recognition, or income. Work is meaningful, but it was never meant to be ultimate.
This perspective has helped me avoid burnout and unrealistic expectations of my career. When work is no longer responsible for your peace or identity, you’re able to show up healthier, more creative, and more grounded. I’ve learned to enjoy my work deeply without asking it to be something it can never fully be.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Enter humbly and stay curious. Social media and marketing are constantly evolving, and the moment you think you have it all figured out is the moment you stop growing. There is so much power in being willing to learn, ask questions, and admit when you don’t know something yet.
You don’t need to prove yourself by being the loudest voice in the room. Consistency, integrity, and a teachable spirit will take you much farther than comparison or ego ever will. Give yourself permission to be a beginner. Everyone starts somewhere, even if social media makes it look otherwise.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities and challenges right now is AI. Used well, it can save time, spark ideas, and support efficiency. Used poorly, it can stunt creativity and replace original thinking with sameness.
The real opportunity is learning how to use AI as a tool, not a substitute. Creativity, discernment, storytelling, and human connection still matter more than ever. The brands and creators who will stand out are the ones who know how to think for themselves first and then use technology to enhance (not replace) that vision.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Work-life balance isn’t optional to me, it’s essential. I believe God and family come first, and my business should support that order, not compete with it. Success loses its meaning if it costs you your peace, relationships, or faith.
I value presence over productivity, honesty over perfection, and people over performance. Those values guide how I structure my workdays, choose clients, and define success. At the end of the day, I want to build something I’m proud of, both professionally and spiritually—without sacrificing what matters most.
