Haylie Calicott, MBA, is an accomplished banking professional with more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry. She currently serves as Vice President and Business Development Officer at First Security Bank & Trust Company, Oklahoma’s only Black-owned bank. In this role, she has been instrumental in driving community engagement, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding financial awareness in underserved communities across Northeast Oklahoma City. Haylie is also actively involved in shaping the bank’s future by leading new initiatives such as treasury management development and core technology conversions.

Beyond her role at First Security Bank & Trust, Haylie is deeply engaged in community and industry leadership. She serves on the Hough Ear Institute Young Professionals Board, contributes her expertise to the Northeast OKC Renaissance Financial Committee, and is a member of the MDI Advisory Council. Her leadership and impact have been recognized through honors such as the NextGen 30 Under 30 and ICBA’s Independent Banker 40 Under 40.

A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and John Brown University, where she earned her MBA in Organizational Leadership with honors, Haylie has built her career on a foundation of resilience, innovation, and service. Passionate about helping communities achieve financial empowerment, she continues to combine her banking expertise with a strong dedication to outreach, making a meaningful impact in both her industry and community.

I attribute my success to my faith and the strong example my mom set for me growing up.

The best career advice I’ve ever received was, “You can do anything,” and I’ve carried that mindset with me throughout my journey.

My advice to young women entering this field is to seek out opportunities and utilize every resource available to set yourself up for success.

The biggest challenge I’ve faced in my field has been learning to set boundaries and not overextend myself by saying yes to everything.

The values most important to me are building strong relationships and prioritizing quality time with my family and friends.
