About Krystina

Krystina Pegura is a training and onboarding professional in the financial services industry, currently serving as a New Hire Training Lead within Raymond James’ New Accounts department. With nearly nine years of experience at the firm, she has advanced through roles in quality assurance and onboarding, building deep operational knowledge of call evaluations, form processing, compliance standards, and early-career workforce readiness.

Her work focuses on preparing new associates for success by delivering structured onboarding programs, conducting one-on-one coaching, tracking performance metrics, and continuously improving training workflows. She plays a key supervisory role in shaping associate performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial account operations while supporting a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.

With an academic background in psychology and prior experience in healthcare settings, she applies behavioral insight to training design—adapting coaching methods to different learning styles and improving engagement outcomes. Her approach blends empathy, communication skills, and operational discipline, enabling her to support both individual development and organizational performance in a highly regulated environment.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Krystina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to consistently pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. Moving from the Chicagoland area to Florida was a major step for me, and I’ve continued to challenge myself by applying for new roles and actively networking. As someone who is naturally shy, I’ve worked intentionally on becoming more confident in meeting people and putting myself in situations that encourage growth. That willingness to take risks has been a key factor in my development and success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to stop being so shy, go out and network, and make connections with people. I’ve learned that opportunities often come from relationships, and I’ve pushed myself to engage more professionally, even when it feels uncomfortable. This advice has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women to not be afraid to speak up and share their ideas or feedback. If you have suggestions for improving processes, communicate them with leadership. Your input may lead to meaningful changes that improve workflows and team efficiency. It’s important to advocate for your perspective because your voice can make a real difference.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is keeping up with constant changes, including FINRA regulations, compliance updates, and evolving operational requirements. Staying informed and up to date is essential in this environment. At the same time, there are strong opportunities for growth within the organization, including roles in supervision, auditing, and training development across different departments.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are integrity, honesty, and reliability. I strive to be someone others can depend on, both professionally and personally. I believe these values are essential to building trust, supporting teams effectively, and maintaining strong relationships in both work and life.
