About Maitri
I have been working in science for 8 years and in manufacturing for a little over a year. My career started back in high school when I worked in a reproductive laboratory with pig uteruses and took rumen samples for sheep. I then moved into a different position at the university doing IVF in sheep and cattle, which I did for about 7 years during my time in college. I got my biology background and also minored in music for vocal performance, which was very important to me since I've been singing since I was young. After college, I got a job at the university in neuroscience, but I ended up not getting along well with the team, so I left and came to Tungsten Parts Wyoming. I've now worked at Tungsten Parts Wyoming for over a year. I started out as a production operator on the floor, and now I run our quality control department. It's a great job, and I really like it here. A typical day starts out with me doing my rounds, checking the floor product, checking out the operators, making sure that everything is up to par, everyone's happy, and there's no questions that I need to clarify, making sure that the system is running well. I'll typically work with some of my team members on certain projects we have going, do some research - I do a lot of industry research for my department and for my company. I'm a very ambitious person, so I'd definitely like to see myself growing either at TPW or a different company. I could definitely foresee myself growing up the food chain in the quality department or taking on a different role if necessary.
