Her Story

About Morganne

I have always been passionate about nutrition, and I've been in my industry for over 10 years. I started my career as a dietitian working in corporate healthcare, but within the last 2 years I've transitioned full-time into private practice. My specific niche that I work with is women struggling with insulin resistance, which comes in the face of PCOS (which is now MCOS as of Monday or Tuesday) and women struggling with prediabetes, or women who do actually have a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. I did not think that I would be in this space when I was graduating college, but this is a space that I have found the most passionate in, especially with women and diet culture noise being so loud. It is truly just so rewarding to help women not only improve their relationship with food, but also improve their overall health outcomes. One of my most notable professional achievements is knowing that I have helped hundreds of women improve their insulin resistance to prevent chronic disease for the rest of their life.

Ten minutes with Morganne

01What do you attribute your success to?

I can't not thank God for what He's provided and, you know, guiding me into the space that I'm in. Because I know, like, my hard work and determination has been a factor, but, you know, my spirituality, you would say, has also guided me through a lot of this as well.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best career advice is do not take yourself so seriously, in the way that your career can always change. Because I never would have expected myself to be in the position that I'm currently in, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say to bet on yourself. Because in corporate healthcare, a lot of times it can keep people stuck. But betting on yourself can not only make yourself a better person, but also a better professional and a better practitioner, because my business journey has been so much more than just a professional journey. It has been a journey of self-development as well. So, to take that leap and bet on yourself, you'll never regret it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say the noise, because the thing is with nutrition and the industry that I work in, everyone has an opinion about it. And the thing is, is nutrition is so much more than just opinions, and there is a lot of science that goes behind what someone truly needs to fuel and support their body's best. So, one of the biggest challenges is being that sounding board and filter for what is true information and what is inaccurate information.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I would say integrity. Integrity to be the woman that I say that I am, and the mom that I say I'm going to be for my husband, as well as my daughter, and to have my daughter growing up, seeing her mom as an entrepreneur, and following her dreams. And then in the business side of things, the integrity and doing what I say I'm going to do for my clients to help them become the best version of themselves.
