Her Story
About Naureen
In my current role, I work as a Global Capability Center advisor, helping Fortune 500 companies and large enterprises set up technology centers, innovation hubs, and global capability centers in offshore locations like India, Mexico, Poland, and Greece. I assist with the design phase, setup, and running of these centers, including location strategy, operating models, governance frameworks, hiring, and ramp-up planning. I bring experience from working on 10 to 15 mega projects, spanning business case development, cost modeling, and talent strategy, understanding that what works in India from a hiring and retention standpoint might not work the same in Mexico due to various geographic nuances. Prior to this, I was part of the technology strategy team at Zenov, a consulting firm headquartered at Rockefeller Center in New York, where I advised hyperscalers like Google, Amazon AWS, and Microsoft on growth strategy, GTM strategy, partner ecosystem strategy, competitive benchmarking, and enterprise transformation roadmaps. Before that, I was a business development manager for Wipro Digital in India, where I worked on strategic advisory for the Indian government's 100 smart cities initiative, doing global benchmarking against cities like London and Barcelona and helping states and cities implement smart city solutions. I hold an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, one of India's premier institutes with an admission rate as competitive as Stanford Business School, and I was a gold medalist from a top fashion school, receiving awards for best overall student and overall academic achievement. I bring a mix of technology and consulting expertise, and I'm very flexible and versatile in my career paths, adapting easily to new situations with an eagerness to learn.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One of my early managers told me that if you don't respect your time, no one else would. I've started realizing now that there are a lot of things which take up your time in bits and pieces, like a lot of different calls and things which you feel are necessary, but now I just go through that thumb rule and see if that call is really needed and how much time is it taking, like what could I have achieved in that time. Just respecting my own time and drawing boundaries in that sense has helped me be more productive, so I would say that's one very good advice that I received.
