Her Story
About Priscella
With over 30 years in healthcare, Priscilla has built a career grounded in service, resilience, and unwavering integrity. Currently serving as a Safety Officer at a rural Tribal Health Center, she focuses on risk management, employee safety, patient safety, and emergency preparedness. Her work ensures that both patients and staff are protected through updated policies, emergency response planning, safety drills, and collaboration with tribal law enforcement to strengthen campus-wide safety protocols.
Priscilla’s journey into healthcare began with a simple but powerful desire: to help people during their most vulnerable moments. Starting as a nurse’s aide without formal education, she worked her way through clinical settings and medical offices, learning through experience and steadily growing into leadership roles. Later in life, after raising her children, she returned to school while working full-time and managing clinics, earning both her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and her MBA in 2025.
Throughout her career, Priscilla has prioritized relationship-building, kindness, and strong work ethic. She believes that while every job can be taught, how you treat people comes from the heart. Her leadership philosophy centers on respect, flexibility, and meeting people where they are. She attributes her success to her faith, the love and support of her family, and a lifelong commitment to learning and growth.
Beyond her professional life, Priscilla enjoys reading, gardening, hosting gatherings with close friends, and spending time with her husband of nearly 30 years, her two sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. She remains passionate about encouraging women to pursue healthcare administration and leadership, reminding them to be flexible, work hard, and always lead with kindness.
