Her Story

About Simonette

Simonette Cherepanov is the Founder and CEO of Seven Lamp Wellness LLC, where she serves as a pastoral counselor and brain health professional specializing in integrating biblical principles with neuroscience-informed counseling approaches. With more than 30 years of experience in ministry, education, and counseling, she provides online and hybrid support to individuals globally through one-on-one sessions, teaching programs, retreats, and written works focused on emotional healing and spiritual restoration. Her mission is to help individuals rediscover identity, healing, and purpose through faith-based transformation.

Throughout her career, she has worked extensively in parent education, pastoral care, and community advocacy, including over a decade serving as a parent educator within school systems and public health initiatives. She has also served in chaplaincy roles and bilingual ministry leadership, supporting diverse communities through counseling, translation, and outreach. Her professional journey reflects continuous lifelong learning, including advanced studies in ministry leadership, neuroscience-informed counseling, and trauma certification.

In addition to her counseling practice, Simonette is an author and spiritual educator, known for her work 21 Day Brain Detox, which combines cognitive-behavioral tools with biblical reflection to support mental and emotional renewal. She also leads faith-based programs and discipleship initiatives designed to help individuals develop long-term cognitive and behavioral transformation. Her work is grounded in her core belief that healing is both spiritual and psychological, and that individuals are called to live as restored and purpose-driven “image-bearers.”

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Simonette

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being a lifelong learner and a commitment to being part of the solution rather than the problem. Over the course of my career, I have continually pursued education at different stages of life and applied what I learn to serve others more effectively. My growth has been shaped by my willingness to respond to challenges with action, especially during times of crisis when I chose to pursue additional training in trauma counseling to better support my community.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The most meaningful guidance I have received is the importance of continually learning and staying connected within a professional support network. Having mentors, colleagues, and trusted professionals to turn to for guidance has been essential in helping me grow and navigate complex situations throughout my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to remain open to learning, stay committed to personal and professional growth, and build strong professional support systems. In this field, it is essential to stay connected with others who can provide guidance, encouragement, and accountability as you develop your skills and purpose.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The most significant opportunity in my field is the growing global awareness of mental health, trauma recovery, and the integration of faith-based and neuroscience-informed care. This creates space for more accessible, innovative approaches such as teletherapy and online counseling. At the same time, a key challenge is ensuring individuals receive consistent, high-quality care while navigating rapidly changing needs and increasing emotional distress in communities.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important values in my life are faith, purpose, and service. I believe in representing God well in everything I do and living as an “image-bearer” who reflects compassion, truth, and integrity. My work is rooted in helping others find healing and identity, and my personal and professional life are guided by a commitment to serving others with humility and purpose.
