What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the incredible support of my family and mentors. I ground my work in mission-driven efforts, always striving to lead with heart. At the same time, I prioritize self-care to ensure I can sustain meaningful contributions over the long term.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that community is everything. The people who believe in you and guide you can open doors you never imagined. I’ve also been reminded that the spaces we enter are what we make of them — by questioning rigidity, leaning into ambiguity, and confidently taking up space, we create opportunities for growth and impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to build and nurture your community — mentors, peers, and allies are invaluable. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, challenge the status quo, and lean into ambiguity. Trust your instincts, take up space confidently, and remember that your perspective and contributions are not just valid, but essential.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the persistent barriers to knowledge and access for aspiring healthcare professionals, as well as the complexity of improving health access more broadly. At the same time, there are significant opportunities to redesign systems and culture to enhance both access and quality of care. This work calls for values-driven, community-oriented leaders who are committed to making a meaningful, sustainable impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are caring for people, advancing health equity, mentoring others, and creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where everyone can thrive.
