Her Story
About Dr. Anisha
I have been in my field for 7 years, which includes 5 years in dental school and 2 more years working in dentistry and building my own company in that space. I graduated from dental school in 2024, and instead of following the traditional path into clinical dentistry, I wanted to shadow existing dental professionals to understand what kind of dentist I wanted to become. Over the course of 1 year, I shadowed multiple dental professionals, and during this time, I noticed the enormous amount of energy and time these professionals put into administrative work, which drained them. So, I began learning this work hoping I could offer my assistance to take this work off their plate and I really got good at it. Helping these professionals meant lifting a lot of weight off their chest, and I loved the feeling this thought brought me because they’d eventually feel lighter and more present in their appointments. I asked them how they would feel if someone like myself, who is a dentist, would take this off their plate, and they all had a unanimous answer - it would be great. These professionals would reach out to outside legal counsel for help, but the legal professionals wouldn't even understand half of what they were trying to do. The fact that somebody from their own profession was willing to do that for them made them feel good, and it brought me immense joy to observe their reactions. This is what really pushed me to pursue founding Redefynn. I incorporated the company in October 2025, and we automate compliance, risk mitigation, and contract intelligence for dental professionals at a fraction of cost. In less than 2 months after our product launch, we have a distribution of more than 160 dental practices. We are currently raising our pre-seed round and have been offered 2.5 million US dollars in investment. I recently got featured in the Voyager LA magazine and was invited as a guest speaker on the Secure Dental podcast. We are co-building our product with 6 different dentists based across the US. My goal is to eventually get ourselves embedded into the governmental system for more credibility and I am really grateful for the community we have built at Redefynn.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dr. Anisha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I was so motivated by the kind of people that surrounded me and supported me through this entire process. I had an amazing team and mentors who were there for me at every step to guide me, which is why I could create such a beautiful community and accomplish what I did. The support system I had made me feel very confident in pursuing this career in entrepreneurship after I graduated from dental school. I'm really grateful for the community that we have built here at Redefynn - it's absolutely so empowering.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When I was invited as a guest speaker on the Secure Dental podcast, I had the honor of being in the presence of a woman entrepreneur who owns 11 dental practices across the U.S. To be in the same place as her, in the same room as her, was so inspirational and so empowering to me. We discussed the problems that women entrepreneurs face in this field that is made by men for men, and how we have to keep pushing hard to get to a place where we can actually be in a position and have the kind of resources that we need to create a bigger impact and create a safe space for women to have big dreams and eventually achieve them. It was absolutely surreal. She helped me navigate a lot of stuff because she's been in this field for a very long time. The learnings that she passed on - I was so inspired, honestly. I really learned a lot from her experience.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would want to see more people feel comfortable taking risks, doing their own thing, and feeling confident about their work. I want people to have someone to look up to and think, 'Okay, she was young, she decided she wanted to do it, and she did it, so I can too.' We discussed on the Secure Dental podcast about the problems that women entrepreneurs face in this field that is made by men for men, and how we have to keep pushing hard to get to a place where we can actually be in a position and have the kind of resources that we need to create a bigger impact and create a safe space for women to have big dreams and eventually achieve them. Don't be afraid to take the leap - if you believe in what you're doing and you have the passion for it, go for it.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important thing to me is creating impact and helping people and the idea of helping my own, really pushed me to pursue founding Redefynn in the first place. I want to reach as many people as possible so that I'm able to help these people in any way that is possible on my end. I really want to make this way more bigger than it is right now, and way more impactful than it is right now. To me, personal brand and having a good standing in the entrepreneurship world is just a byproduct of what you do and how well you do it - it's not something to be chased. What matters is the actual impact you're creating and the community you're building.
