Lexi Proctor is an accomplished student leader, nonprofit founder, and aspiring attorney who is currently pursuing a double major in Business Administration: Human Resource Management and Pre-Law Politics at Liberty University. At just 20 years old, she has distinguished herself as a full-time honors student while balancing an extraordinary range of leadership roles, including serving in student government and gaining hands-on experience as a Senate intern in Washington, D.C. Driven by purpose and discipline, Lexi is committed to academic excellence and long-term goals that include attending law school and earning her Juris Doctor by the age of 25, with a focus on corporate construction law.

At 17, Lexi founded Girls with Glory, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women to live with confidence, purpose, and faith. In just two years, she has scaled the organization to a national level, securing 168 corporate sponsors and building a growing community of young women across the country. One of the most meaningful aspects of her work is traveling on weekends to speak directly with girls, bringing her mission to life through personal connection and mentorship. These experiences reinforce her belief that everyday decisions and intentional actions can create lasting impact.

In addition to her academic and nonprofit work, Lexi is also a local titleholder competing for Miss West Virginia, further demonstrating her commitment to leadership, service, and personal growth. Grounded in her faith and inspired by her family, she approaches every opportunity with a desire to help others feel seen, heard, and empowered. With a strong foundation in leadership, service, and advocacy, Lexi is building a path that bridges business, law, and community impact—positioning herself to become a dynamic force in both the legal field and beyond.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I think one of the most real moments for me that keeps me going is every day when I take time on the weekends from school to fly across the country and get to speak to girls through my nonprofit organization, Girls with Glory. I never would have thought it would be possible, so that was kind of my biggest aha moment - seeing that what you do matters, even through the days where assignments are piling up, you have an internship the next morning, and you still have a social life to balance because you're only 19. Getting to put faces to the everyday work reminds me and other people that everyday choices and decisions do matter and have real impact. I'm a firm believer that when you hear people, you can actually love people better. My Christian faith definitely drives me to be a better friend and guides me through my decisions - it's the highest value that I hold close to my heart. I also believe in making sure I strive to let people be seen and heard in crowded rooms. We have the trajectory to impact up to 80,000 people in our lifetime just by having normal socialization as a typical human, but if you go above and beyond and be the person who invites someone out to something after work, or be the person who takes on an extra load, or checks in on somebody, we can make a difference in how many people we can impact. People is a big driver for me.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My biggest inspirations come from both my mom and my sisters. You know, having somebody who's gonna tell you the hard truth when you need it, but also love you through those moments has really inspired me to take that same type of sister and daughter love into every field I go into. I truly believe that mentality has kind of really shaped me to who I am professionally. Somebody who professionally has shaped me outside of that has definitely been Sadie Robertson. I had the opportunity to actually meet her and talk one-on-one with her about the work I'm doing and how she's kind of influenced me to really branch out. I got to give her the first copy of my first ever devotional book I published through my nonprofit, which was definitely a surreal moment. These people definitely have pushed me, whether they know it or not.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would definitely tell myself when I was graduating high school and freshly becoming a nonprofit owner - I went from taking something that was just a club I created at my school and deciding it's such a big moment in my life. I was about to move 7 hours away to go to school and leave my family, and I was also gonna take on this new opportunity. If fear would have held me back, I don't know what my life would look like. I would definitely tell young women that the fear of rejection and failure is far more painful than going for it and experiencing it. You know, through all this, it would be silly for me to tell you all this stuff and give you my resume and not include that I face everyday rejection and everyday failure. That's just 10% of what happens to you, because 90% of that is what you choose to do from it. If you can handle that 10% of what actually happens to you in life, you can take on 90% of the world. Life is just 10% what actually happens to you, 90% how you respond. Don't let that fear of rejection and failure hold you back, because if you just go for it, you give yourself the opportunity to succeed.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in my field right now is the ability to expand my impact as both a student and a young professional while continuing to grow my nonprofit on a national level. As my career evolves, I am excited to deepen my work through Girls with Glory by reaching more young women, strengthening our partnerships, and continuing to create spaces where girls feel seen, heard, and empowered. I also look forward to building meaningful connections with other women in this network—learning from their experiences, sharing insights, and collaborating in ways that amplify our collective impact.
As I look ahead, my goals are centered around completing my undergraduate degrees, attending law school, and ultimately pursuing a career in corporate construction law. I am passionate about combining my interests in business, leadership, and advocacy to make a lasting difference. At the same time, I want to continue using my platform—through speaking, mentorship, and service—to inspire others to step into their purpose without fear. I believe strongly that growth comes from taking action, and I hope to encourage other young women to pursue opportunities boldly, even when the path feels uncertain.
Outside of my academic and professional commitments, I find joy in spending time with my family, traveling, working out, reading, and simply embracing the season of life I am in. My faith remains my foundation and guides how I lead, serve, and connect with others. I am incredibly grateful for the journey so far—from building a nonprofit at 17 to competing for Miss West Virginia—and I remain committed to continuing to grow, give back, and make a meaningful impact in every space I step into.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I am a big follower of Christ, so that drives a lot of my passion and what I do. It's kind of a moral compass, and regardless of whatever religion or non-religion people follow, I think it's important to have some type of moral compass. I think that making sure I strive to let people be seen and heard in crowded rooms is a value I take on that's really important. We have the trajectory to be able to impact up to 80,000 people in our lifetime just by having normal life socialization as a typical human, and I think if you go above and beyond and be the person who invites someone out to something after work, or be the person who takes on an extra load, or even outside of work just checks in on somebody, we can make a difference in how many people that we can impact. So people is a big driver for me, as well as my Christian faith, which definitely drives me to be a better friend.
