Lynne L. Jasames
I've been working in this line of work for well over 30 years. I started with the Rape Crisis Hotline, worked at group homes, and have been with Family Services for 30 years. In my role with Clark County, I work as a foster parent trainer and recruiter, managing a caseload where I continuously reach out to prospective foster parents, help them with their online trainings, upload documents into the system, and get their references turned in. I also go out in the field and table at events to recruit people to become foster parents. As a former foster child myself, I share my story and the power of what children can become because of my own personal experience. Beyond my county work, I'm a trauma coach and published author who speaks to people and helps them navigate their traumatic experiences. I host an annual event called Women, Purpose, and Processing, where we focus on different topics each year with speakers and panelists, and everybody participates in processing the topics together. I also train authors and speakers, and I love talking to people and helping them have light bulb moments and see where their strengths lie. I really focus on training about coping skills. My life is my career and my job - they all go together.
