Her Story

About Nasheka

I started my career working at Tyson's chicken plant, where the long hours on the line left me tired and hurting. Seeking relief, I visited a nutritional shop and tried their tea for energy and joint support. The results were amazing - I had more energy, was working longer, and my joints felt better. My cousin noticed I was already using the products and sharing information with others, so she encouraged me to join the Herbalife business. That's exactly what I did, and I've been doing the same thing ever since - sharing my experience and helping others. I've been in this field for about 6 years now. In the next 5 years, I would like to have my own nutritional hub where people can come meet me, and I can walk them through the process in depth, whether they're trying to lose weight, gain weight, or just maintain what they have. I want to help as many people as possible. I've also gotten my daughter into the business because as a mother, I want to teach my children to be entrepreneurs and to be better than me. Currently, I'm a server, cook, and trainer at Waffle House, and I was also a cheer coach. I'm all about health and empowering people.

Ten minutes with Nasheka

01What do you attribute your success to?

I say my parents and my children. They're my why, they help fuel me to go on. My daddy's not doing too well - he got a pacemaker. So I know if I push myself to work very hard to achieve a lot in my business and my growth, I can have that financial freedom. Financial freedom is like not having to work a 9-to-5 and be somewhere at a certain place, because I have my own, and I've been able to take care of my father. That's my goal. And then spend more time with my babies.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I received was about personal development. Before I started this business, I didn't know that we needed it. Being in the business, they teach you that you gotta learn how to grow as a person, change your mindset, change yourself. If you work harder on yourself than you do your job, you can achieve anything. Once I got that mindset, I thought, oh, okay, I didn't even know we needed to do that. Working on personal development has been key.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would share that as women, we always overthink things. Don't overthink it. Be like Nike, just do it. If you want to do it, just do it. We keep planning and planning, and then we just put it on the back burner, because we normally put other people before ourselves. So my advice is simple: just do it. Go for it.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are respect, loyalty, being honest, God, and empathy. I have a lot of empathy for people. I care - I care a lot. Being loyal, being honest, and caring about people, they may go a long way. These values guide both my work and personal life.
