Her Story

About Paige

I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and have lived in the state my whole life. I went to the University of Tennessee, where I majored in sociology with a minor in retail consumer science. In a project development class, I designed two T-shirts that were selected to be sold in Walgreens and the university bookstore, which sparked my interest in the creative side of business.

After graduating, I moved to Nashville and started at Dollar General Corporate as an assistant buyer for toys and stationery. I later became an administrative assistant supporting three vice presidents and managing their travel and schedules. After that, I worked for Mesa, a New York–based beauty product manufacturer, as an analyst for about four years.

Now I’m an executive assistant in the entertainment industry and have been working for Brittany Aldean for nearly two years. It’s a dream role for me because one of my long-term goals was to work as an assistant in the country music industry, and I wanted a more hands-on job with opportunities to travel rather than sitting at a desk all day.

Ten minutes with Paige

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would definitely say hard work. In every job I’ve had, I’ve always given it my full effort, I’m never halfway in. I want to show up every day and make a real difference.I also really value creating a positive, happy environment. The people I work with and the connections I build mean a lot to me. In every role, I strive not only to do my best work but also to build genuine relationships with my coworkers. I believe when you enjoy the people you work with, you’re more motivated, you perform better, and you actually look forward to coming to work each day.

When I’ve applied for new roles, my previous bosses have often described me as a bright spirit—someone who’s positive and brings good energy to the room. For me, one of the highlights of my career has always been the opportunity to meet great people and build meaningful connections while doing work I care about.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I’d say when an opportunity comes along, go for it, even if you’re not completely confident or feel like the timing isn’t perfect. Opportunities don’t always come around twice.

When I applied for my current role with Brittany Aldean, I had only worked in the corporate world and had never been an assistant for an influencer or celebrity. I almost talked myself out of applying, but I decided to take the chance, stay confident, and put myself out there. I got the job, and it ended up being the perfect fit.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage women to believe in themselves and go after their goals with confidence. No dream is too big if it’s something you truly care about. Trust your abilities, take chances, and don’t be afraid to pursue what excites you. When you focus on doing what you love every day, you create a path that’s truly your own.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the challenges for me is making time for myself. I love my job and get to do so many exciting things, so it’s easy to forget to take breaks and enjoy personal time.

On the flip side, the opportunities are incredible, I meet amazing people every day in the industry, and those connections are so helpful for supporting Brittany and our work.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I’d say my core values, both personally and professionally, are trust, reliability, and hard work. Trust is the foundation of any relationship or business, and being able to count on each other to stay organized and get things done is equally important. Having a strong work ethic while fostering dependable, supportive relationships is what I value most.
