Rachelle Scheel
Rachelle Scheel (Culley) is a Recruiting Manager with Inter-Con Security, where she leads multi-state recruitment operations across the Southwest and Mountain West regions, including Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. In this role, she oversees full-cycle recruiting strategies for security officer staffing across a range of contracts, ensuring organizations are supported by qualified personnel while maintaining responsiveness to high-volume hiring needs. Her work focuses on building reliable teams that support public safety operations and large-scale client requirements.
With more than nine years of experience spanning sales, business development, and talent acquisition, Rachelle has built a career centered on recruiting strategy, client partnerships, and workforce growth. Her professional background includes roles in business development and recruiting with organizations such as Robert Half and DISH Network, where she developed expertise in client engagement, sourcing strategy, and revenue-driven performance. She is proficient in a range of recruiting and CRM systems, including Salesforce, Workday, iCIMS, and Bullhorn, and is known for combining operational efficiency with strong relationship management in high-demand hiring environments.
Beyond her recruiting leadership, Rachelle is focused on creating supportive workforce programs that address real-life challenges faced by security professionals, including recognition initiatives and childcare support partnerships for shift-based workers. She approaches her work with an emphasis on empathy, retention, and long-term employee well-being, viewing recruitment as a way to create stability and opportunity. She is currently pursuing further education at Southern New Hampshire University, and outside of her professional role, she is also a professional wrestler, bringing discipline and performance-driven energy to both her careers.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to prioritizing practical support for officers and building recognition programs from the ground up that genuinely reflect care for employees’ livelihoods and well-being.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that we are not brain surgeons or heart surgeons—we are recruiters, and while we don’t save lives in a literal sense, we do change lives by helping people find employment. Keeping that perspective helps me manage pressure and stay grounded, because even with performance goals and quotas, the core purpose of the work is to create opportunity and support people in improving their livelihoods, whether that means getting back on their feet or building greater financial stability.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the private security industry is to seek visibility and intentionally make an impact. Don’t be afraid to step into leadership roles or high-responsibility environments where your contributions can be seen and valued. Women in this field should be recognized for the meaningful change they bring—whether in operational roles or leadership positions—so it’s important to advocate for yourself, stay confident in your expertise, and ensure your work is visible and acknowledged.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in private security is that it remains a largely male-dominated field where officers are often under-recognized for the critical role they play. At the same time, there is a significant opportunity to improve retention and engagement by strengthening how officers are supported and valued. This includes building meaningful recognition programs and developing partnerships that address real-life needs, such as childcare solutions for shift workers, to better support officers both professionally and personally.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are empathy, service, and a deep respect for frontline workers. I believe in recognizing the contributions of those who keep essential operations running and in creating opportunities that genuinely support people’s livelihoods, stability, and long-term growth.
