Savannah Slawter is a dynamic marketing professional with a lifelong passion for creativity and hands-on problem-solving. She began working at the age of 14 at Chick-fil-A, where she discovered her love for connecting with people and bringing ideas to life. Inspired by her biological father, Jamie, who spent 20 years in sports marketing with NASCAR focusing on brand partnerships, Savannah developed an early interest in brand storytelling and audience engagement. An emotional and passionate person, she also channels her creativity through painting, drawing, and graphic design, which complements her professional work in marketing.

Savannah’s career spans diverse industries, from legal tech at Rocket Lawyer to cabinetry manufacturing at CNC Cabinetry. At Rocket Lawyer, she advanced from Brand Marketing Associate to Brand Marketing Manager, leading cross-functional campaigns, customer segmentation, and innovative partnerships, including a high-impact sports marketing initiative with the Golden State Warriors. Today, at CNC Cabinetry, she leads innovation across digital, social media, and large-scale events. Among her most notable achievements is managing a year-long project to design and execute a 3,000-square-foot booth for KBIZ, the National Kitchen and Bath Association show, reintroducing CNC to the industry post-COVID.

Savannah holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Known for her curiosity, dedication, and adaptability, she thrives in collaborative environments where she can learn, grow, and take on multiple responsibilities. Driven by the mission to make brands accessible and meaningful to audiences, Savannah continues to bridge the gap between products and people, creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the incredible mentors in my life, starting with my three parents. My biological dad Jamie worked in sports marketing for NASCAR for 20 years, and watching him from a young age showed me what brand marketing and partnerships could look like. My stepdad Robert has been a titan in the cabinetry industry and has been in my life since I was young, teaching me so much about the field I'm in now. And my mother worked her entire life in staffing at a very high executive level before retiring, and her ability to view people, meet them where they are, and connect with them has really shaped who I am. All three of them have been honest, strong role models who've taught me how to say the right things in the right way. Professionally, I've also been fortunate to work under really strong people, especially Moses, our CMO at CNC, who is such a brilliant creative mind. I've also learned from starting work young at age 14 at Chick-fil-A and working full-time while going to school, which taught me to be efficient and intentional. As a young woman in my field, I've found a way to earn respect authentically. I may be the quietest person in the room sometimes, but when I speak, it's important, and I love to prove people wrong in the nicest way when they underestimate me.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say if you feel called to marketing, absolutely continue to follow that calling. Marketing is such an umbrella term with so many different aspects, and I'm still learning what it looks like because people look to marketing to solve so many things, and we get the opportunity to pick up those areas and continue to grow our knowledge. It's like a snowball effect in the most positive way. Marketing is tough and it can be hard to navigate which part you want to be in, but it's such a fun challenge because it speaks to you and you get to navigate through that. The options really are endless. Marketing is such a fun field to be in and so fulfilling. I would definitely encourage any young woman who's interested to please pursue it at whatever capacity that looks like, even if it's just dipping your toes in with an internship or diving full in and seeking out a career. It's definitely worth a shot because as you explore it, doors will open that refine what marketing looks like for you. Marketing can be very tailored to who you are, and you can find those niche areas that really speak to you and highlight your skills. Through that role, you're able to take on more skills you may have not even thought of. Whether marketing ends up being your forever home or not, it's always connecting you to really great people and companies where you'll continue to find out where you're being called and answer that call.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Starting at age 14 and balancing full-time work with school throughout their education. They shared their experience leading an internship program at a women's boutique and obtaining OSHA certification. The speaker mentioned being recently promoted to marketing manager at CNC and their involvement with Elevation Church, where they serve on the student and connections team at the Blakeney location. They also discussed their previous involvement with Present Age Ministries, a non-profit helping victims of sex trafficking and abuse, and their participation in Young Life during college.
