Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support and inspiration of my family. My primary motivation has always been to create a better life for my children, and that drive has guided my decisions, fueled my perseverance, and shaped the path I’ve taken in both my personal and professional life.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be authentic and true to myself. Embracing who I am, rather than trying to fit a mold or meet others’ expectations, has allowed me to build meaningful relationships, make confident decisions, and pursue opportunities that align with my values and strengths.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to approach it with genuine compassion and a true desire to help others. This work requires a heartfelt commitment—if you ever feel that compassion fading, it may be a sign to explore a different path. Success in this field comes not just from skill or knowledge, but from the empathy and care you bring to every interaction.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is navigating partnerships with different companies while managing federal funding. While government involvement can sometimes intimidate people, it also provides significant resources and stability. Successfully working within these structures requires clear communication, trust, and a willingness to navigate complex processes, which can ultimately lead to meaningful growth and impact.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are centered on continuous improvement and personal integrity. I live by the quote: “Make your good better and your better best. Once your better is best, you can put your head on your pillow and rest.” This mindset drives me to always strive for excellence, give my best effort in everything I do, and find fulfillment in knowing I’ve done my utmost.
