Her Story

About Miranda

I've worked in multifamily property management for about 15 years, starting when I was 18. Throughout my career, I kept seeing the same pattern - everyone working so hard with all these reports going up the ladder, but there wasn't a lot of clarity on what those reports mean and how to drive those numbers on the dashboard. That's why I started Honore Property Consulting. My whole career has been spent fixing distressed communities for property management companies, and I saw it as an opportunity to freelance my work and help as many people as I can. I help small landlords and multifamily teams with KPI audits that include leasing and delinquency performance, vendor strategy, and training teams on my advice and how to keep things moving forward and under control. I especially focus on small property management companies or small landlords who don't have the infrastructure for a VP or regional manager - I can be there as a support for them. What drives me is the people. I love to help people, and what I do not only helps CEOs and owners, but it also helps the people on site that sometimes get left out of these decisions. I've been a groundskeeper, I've been a leasing consultant, so I know how some of these decisions that are coming from up top kind of feel all the way down. I love helping bridge the gap and helping companies make decisions that flow all the way through to the bottom.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My best advice would be don't wait until everything feels perfect. Start where you are. Get clear on the problem you solve, refine as you go. Consistency and clarity matter more than perfection. Done is better than perfect.
