Jasmine Peeples

Merchant Payments Consultant
Elavon, Inc.
Panama City, FL 32444

Jasmine Peeples is a Direct Sales Payments Consultant with Elavon, Inc., based in Lynn Haven, Florida, serving businesses throughout Panama City Beach and the Florida Panhandle. In her role, Jasmine partners directly with local merchants to streamline payment processing, reduce operational costs, and implement solutions that support long-term business growth.

Known for her relationship-driven approach, Jasmine spends much of her time in the field meeting business owners face to face. She believes successful payments consulting goes beyond transactions—it’s built on trust, education, and hands-on support. By taking the time to understand each business’s unique needs, she helps merchants navigate payment technology with confidence and clarity.

Jasmine’s path into the payments industry was anything but traditional. She initially pursued a career in cosmetology, a field she was passionate about, before life led her toward banking when she joined a credit union to secure stable benefits for her family. What began as a practical decision quickly evolved into a fulfilling 14-year career in financial services. During that time, Jasmine held multiple roles, including teller, head teller, new accounts specialist, and loan services, where she developed a deep passion for customer service and financial education.

Throughout her banking career, Jasmine found purpose in helping people protect and manage their finances—whether assisting with everyday banking needs, guiding members through major financial decisions, or helping prevent financial scams. Making a meaningful difference in people’s lives has always been at the core of her work.

In December 2024, Jasmine transitioned into merchant payments, embracing a new challenge that blended her financial expertise with sales. While the move into a more independent, hybrid role required her to quickly sharpen her time-management skills, she discovered that success in payments—much like banking—is rooted in genuine connection and reliability.

Today, Jasmine covers the Florida Panhandle in direct sales, conducting outreach, meeting merchants in person, and actively participating in the Bay County Chamber of Commerce and other local networking groups. For Jasmine, the most rewarding part of her work is earning the trust of local business owners and becoming the go-to partner they rely on to manage one of the most critical parts of their operations—their payments.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Looking back, I can confidently say that I didn’t get here on my own. The managers and team members I’ve worked with, along with the constant encouragement from my family, are the reason I am where I am today. They pushed me, reminded me that I was capable, and helped me see that nothing placed in front of me was something I couldn’t handle.

There were times I worried that my résumé told a story of too many chapters, but I’ve learned that it actually tells a story of growth. Each role, each leader, and each teammate taught me something new. I credit my success to the people who checked me, supported me, and took the time to help me learn every detail along the way.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

For a long time, I tried to work the way everyone else did, even when it didn’t work for me. I thought success meant following the same formula, no matter how uncomfortable or inefficient it felt. The best advice I ever received was to stop doing that.

One of the women in leadership I work with told me it was okay to plan day by day, to adjust my schedule, and to focus on results instead of rigid routines. That advice gave me permission to slow down, work smarter, and remove what wasn’t serving me. More than anything, it showed me what supportive leadership looks like—leaders who care about individual success because they understand it ultimately benefits the entire team.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Confidence is everything. Believing in what you know—and being willing to take a leap of faith when you’re scared—is how growth begins. The moments that pushed me forward the most were the ones where I was uncomfortable, learning more, and challenging myself to do more.

What’s mattered just as much, though, is the importance of uplifting other women. Sales can be competitive, and it’s easy to fall into a mindset of getting ahead at all costs. But I’ve learned that doing the right thing—supporting others, encouraging them, and reminding them that they are capable—creates far more success in the long run.

While I’ve had difficult experiences, the women who showed up for me, believed in me, and helped build my confidence shaped the woman and professional I am today. We all deserve that kind of support. We deserve to know that we are just as good, just as capable, and that our hard work is enough—for ourselves, our families, and our futures.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Technology in the payments industry is constantly evolving, and the pace of change can be difficult to keep up with. One of the biggest challenges is taking the time to research what’s new, what’s trending, and what actually delivers value to merchants.

For me, that challenge shows up most when it comes to e‑commerce solutions. Every business is different, and choosing the right platform or integration isn’t one-size-fits-all. With everything changing so quickly, it takes ongoing education and adaptability to ensure you’re recommending the right solution for each merchant.

I’m intentional about staying current because I don’t want to fall behind. More importantly, I want to be able to support businesses of all generations—helping long-established owners feel confident with new technology while also meeting the expectations of newer, more tech-driven businesses.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I truly believe that no one succeeds alone. Trust, organization, encouragement, and being willing to help each other are what make everything work. My mom always taught me that it takes a village, and I was lucky enough to grow up with one.

Now, I’ve built that same village in my life—both at work and at home. Having people who support you, step in when needed, and encourage you along the way makes all the difference. Without that collective effort, nothing truly works, and that sense of community is one of the most important things to me.
